Jennifer Fox, Manager,
Miskanawah
re:Vision, a culturally-based program at Miskanawah, builds bridges between Indigenous youth and employers. On just his second day at work, Clay missed a shift to take his sister to the hospital, leaving his employer uncertain about what to do. By calling the Miskanawah Employment Strategist, the employer accessed their trusted partner who could help open the conversation. Together, they found simple ways for Clay to contribute meaningfully at work even during difficult times. This small step built trust and stability, helping Clay keep his job and the employer keep a promising young worker.
